KANGANA RANAUT: A stellar performance from her as Rani of Jhansi captivates audience attention at every frame of the film and she reigns by her imposing presence all through the epic historical war drama. Kangana delivers one of her best performance in varying situations.
DANNY DENZONGPA: Played Ghaus baba to perfection adding valour, courage and mighty warrior features in his limited screen presence.
JISSHU SENGUPTA: Cool and composed in his little precious role of Rani Lakhsmibai’s husband Maharaja Gangadhar Rao.
STORY: The story depicts a biographical account of famous freedom fighter Rani Lakshmibai’s ascent to the throne of Jhansi, her tumultuous journey, tenacious fight and waging a war against the East India Company.

DIRECTION: Directional debut by Kangana and veteran Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi combines to justify and unfold the epic history with intense action drama, battlefield, Lakshmibai’s ascent to the throne of Jhansi after her husband Maharaja’s demise without any melodrama.
MANIKARNIKA: THE QUEEN OF JHANSI (2019)
The film will keep the audience spellbound for the entire length of the show with chest-thumping extreme patriotism coupled with impactful dialogues penned by Prasoon Joshi. The patriotic passion generated by a brilliant performance by Rani of Jhansi in the tender, battlefield, escape scene, sword fighting, horse riding and rousing war drama sequences is a must watch film at least once.
