Denzel Washington – One man show.
Pedro Pascal – Smart but less effective.
Other – Supportive
Story – Robert McCall remains the calm, collective and now less mysterious “equalizer” to those who need help. This time around we learn more about his past.
Cinematography – Effortless
Screenplay – Lengthy
Direction – Impressive
The Equalizer 2 (2018) – Realistic. In the first part, he was the hunted. In this one, he is the hunter. First movie has a fantastic villain that was just as powerful as Denzel. Once again he delivers a terrific performance as McCall, one part friendly and polite, and quite cunning and ruthless for the second, and he does quite effortlessly. Less fight sequence compared to first part but its amazing and climax sequence is well done. It is worth watching for only one man “Denzel Washington”.
