Regina is a Tamil crime thriller movie written and directed by Domin Dsilva.The film is produced by Sathish Nair under Yellow Bear Productions. Domin is famous for a few films in Malayalam.
A women centric film Regina makes the right moves at the beginning. The viewer’s interest is piqued as the set up looks good for a full length thriller film. Unfortunately very soon the film slips into a complacent mode and a predictable twist that is seen from a distance. From then the story travels the road filled with car size pot holes. Logic takes a beating and reasoning is flogged as the film in its continued impression of being impressive sinks into abyss without a trace. The film throughout oscillates without a clear direction on its progress and crumbles under its own expectations.
Sunaina has given it a shot. Pava Selladurai, Nivas Adhithan and Vivek Prasanna have done their bit.
Pavan’s cinematography is decent. Sathish Nair’s background score and music is average. Dialogues are OK. Direction is ordinary.
