Thookudurai is a comedy-drama written and directed by Dennis Manjunath. Aravind Vellaipandian and Anburasu Ganesan produced the film under the Open Gate Pictures banner

Few minutes into the film you realise this is one where logic reasoning and any partial commonsense has been completed obliterated. The brash comedy is over the top and most of the times cringe. Despite the so called comedy the film doesn’t get into the business of the plot until the second half. Yes that’s when all the messaging comes through without making any impact.

Yogi Babu has not much screen time. Bala Saravanan is okay. The rest contribute the way they are expected to.

Ravi Varma’s cinematography suits the mood of the film. KS Manoj’s music is average. Dialogues are mundane while direction is standard.

THOOKU DURAI relies more one liners than anything else

THOOKUDURAI – THOOKAM !!
