LOVER MOVIE REVIEW

LOVER is a romantic drama written and directed by Prabhuram Vyas. The film is produced by Nazerath Pasilian, Magesh Raj Pasilian, and Yuvaraj Ganesan. Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment produced Manikandan’s Good Night movie and this film too.

The film gets to the plot without beating around the bush like it usually is the case in romantic dramas. What works for the film are the very organic and normal situations that most would relate to in a toxic relationship. There is an overdose of substance abuse, but then it’s debatable. Yes like in many such films the melodrama is a tad overwhelming at times and a few situations look and feel repetitive.Yet the film manages to grab the attention of the audience throughout the duration not to forget analyse self during the process. The not so predictable climax fits the bill.

The cast in the film make a terrific impact. Manikandan is brilliant. Sri Gouri Priya is impressive, Kanna Ravi is fine Saravanan, Geetha Kailasam, Harish Kumar, Nikhila Shankar, Rini, Pintu Pandu and Arunachaleshwaran are good.

Cinematography Shreyaas Krishna is good. Music by Sean Roldan is an asset. Dialogues are good. Editor Barath Vikraman could have worked more in the second half. Direction is neat.
