SATHAMINDRI MUTHAM THA is written and directed by Rajdev. The film is produced by Karthikeyan S. Srikanth is back on the big screen after a long interval.
SMT like most movies has an interesting one line. But then that is all about the film, the screenplay is a mess and the execution is bland. The English dialogues are pretentious to say the least and make a mockery of the seriousness of the script. Priyanka Timmesh’s character is incoherent and being the pivot behind the suspense of the plot, the script falls apart. The twists and turns are predictable and the end despite unconventional isn’t something that was unexpected.
Srikanth delivers a good performance. Priyanka Timmesh is decent. Hareesh Peradi provides the comic relief with his funny modulation of English dialogues despite playing the serious inspector. Niharika Patro is OK.
Yuvarjan Manoharan’s cinematography is average. Jubin’s background score is so so and the songs too are the same. Madan’s editing is OK. Dialogues are standard and direction is amateurish.
