PREMALU is written and directed by Girish and produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, Syam Pushkaran.. The film has been a roaring success in Malayalam and now is being dubbed in other languages.
The story in Premalu is very simple and therein the charm of the film. With romance and comedy in the mix the film is a wonderful fun journey taking us through the emotions of the well defined characters. On the down side there are a few moments that are sparse where one feels the script moves a tad slow. The story too isn’t anything great but the screenplay and its presentation is what keeps the viewers hooked throughout. Despite a very cliché story the writing has been given a lot of thought interspersed with humour that makes the film a winner.
Nasleen Gafoor delivers a fine performance and is ably supported by Mamitha Baiju. Sangeeth Pratap brings the roof down. Aadhi is good too.
Cinematography by Ajmal Sambu works well with the script. Music by Vishnu Vijay is apt. Editing is neat and dialogues are good and fun too. Girish with his second film is here to stay.
