ARANMANAI 4 – MOVIE REVIEW

Aranmanai 4 is a comedy horror film directed by Sundar C., who co-wrote the film with Venkatt Ragavan and S. B. Ramadass. It is the fourth installment in the Aranmanai film series, produced by Khushbu Sundar and A. C. S. Arun Kumar under Avni Cinemax and Benzz Media (P) Ltd.

Horror movies cannot go out of vogue in TFI. Sundar has seen a lot of success with this franchise. What has always worked for Sundar is the way he packages the film, and with this film he has widened the scope by including a host of actors and incorporated a lot of commercial aspects to the layers of horror and humour that is anyway expected out of the film. In the process the horror takes a beating and we have a film that looks great, has a few laughs, some action and melodrama to satisfy most of the audience. And yes, the film has a decent plot that unfortunately gets lost in the melee of commercial craziness.

Sundar C is his usual self. Tamannah scores well. Raashi Khanna provides the oomph factor. Yogi Babu, Kovai Sarala, VTV Ganesh and the rest provide comic relief.

E Krishansamy’s cinematography is good. Music by Hip Hop Thamizha is apt. Fenny Oliver’s editing is OK. Dialogues are neat and direction works.

ARANMANAI is more fun less horror !!
