This movie is a solid entry in the action-thriller genre, though it doesn’t particularly stand out or leave a lasting impression. It has the feel of a subdued season of *Reacher* or an old-school Schwarzenegger film, but with less bombast. The acting is competent, and the pacing keeps you engaged throughout, which is a refreshing change from movies that either rush through plot points or drag them out unnecessarily. There’s nothing about it that feels contrived or insulting, which can be a rare feat in modern cinema.
The filmmakers manage to keep things grounded with a relatively realistic portrayal of events, and the characters, while somewhat one-dimensional, have motivations that make sense within the story. You won’t find anything groundbreaking here, but there’s enough depth to keep the film from feeling completely hollow.
Where the movie falters is in its overall forgettable nature. While it’s well-made and certainly worth a watch for action-thriller fans, it lacks the distinctiveness to make it something you’d revisit or recommend. In the end, it delivers exactly what you’d expect, but nothing more. It’s a movie you won’t regret watching, but it’s unlikely to stick with you after the credits roll.
