This movie, loosely based on the Hindi film Raid, presents a mix of potential and shortcomings. While the choice to adapt Raid provides a strong foundation, the attempt to evoke nostalgia through its period setting falters in a few key scenes. The screenplay features a handful of fun moments, but they’re weighed down by awkward, silly, and dull sections that prevent the film from reaching its full potential.
Ravi Teja delivers a solid performance as expected, though it’s clear this isn’t his most well-written role. Even with his talent, the character feels underdeveloped, missing the depth audiences have seen him bring to previous roles.
Bhagyashree stands out with her charming presence. She looks great on-screen, with expressive eyes and a vibrant look that could help her evolve into a star if she makes the right choices moving forward. However, her acting in this film is average, indicating she still has some room to grow.
Sathya’s comedic moments are serviceable, adding some lightness to the film, but they don’t elevate it significantly.
On a technical level, the production values are satisfactory, with decent music and strong cinematography. The direction, however, embraces a style typical of cringe-worthy commercial entertainers, which may not appeal to everyone.
In the end, this movie is a flawed, budget-friendly entertainer. Those watching without high expectations might still struggle to enjoy it, as the film’s weaknesses overpower its sporadic strengths.
