Jason Statham: He knows what exactly he has signed up for & he plays with the required fun amount as Jonas Taylor, a rescue diver who is retired and who has been called back to action.

Li Bingbing: Li Bingbing portrays an interesting chemistry with Shuya Sophia Cai.

Rainn Wilson: He plays the role of a billionaire who is visiting his project on the pet to detect a ground-breaking mission.

STORY: A shark of 70-foot who has been considered as an extinct from long, comes back from the ocean’s depths to pounce on an international crew of deep-sea, leaving them fending for their own lives.

CINEMATOGRAPHY: Lacking

SCREENPLAY: Uninvolving

DIRECTION: Jon Turteltaub, the director does not know what type of film he is making either. Just, when the end of the movie is near the momentum starts picking-up. Towards the end, the monster mayhem grows rapidly to bigger sizes, but it, unfortunately, emerges as too little that to too late.

The MEG (2018): The Movie is in no way different from its straightforward premise. Hollywood & its mania with sharks since 1975, has made this film also merely an excuse for Jason Statham to take on a massive shark underwater.
