PATTAS is written and directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar and is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. Dhanush and director Durai Senthilkumar join again after the unsuccessful KODI..

Storywise the film has nothing new to offer and is in line with kollywood’s fancy for Tamil pride (Tamil supremacy) in everything. The film moves on predictable lines throughout with some comic moments in between that offer some respite. The engaging screenplay dwarfs the logic as well as the repeated coincidences that gets a tad annoying.

Dhanush has nothing new to do in this film that he has not done before and he goes about it without much fuss. Sneha brings in her experience in a mature role while Mehreen does what’s required in a frivolous role. Naveen Chandra as the villain is okay.

Om Prakash’s cinematography is good while Vivek Merwin’s musical score is entertaining. Editing by Prakash Mabbu is ordinary. Dialogues are okay and direction is standard.

PATTASU – PODIMASS !!
