MEENDUM ORU MARIYADHAI – MOVIE REVIEW

Veteran director Bharatiraja weilds the megaphone once again with MOM. His own banner Manoj Creations produces this film.

The film fails to kick off right from the beginning with its “old” plot and pathetic execution. It takes a lot of effort to respect the veteran in the film for making a movie that is primarily self indulgent and highly irrational. The man who gave some epic love stories in Tamil films has delivered a film that is easily his worst piece of work and should easily be in the top ten bad films of 2020.

Bharatiraja delivers an inconsistent performance. Nakshatra is too overwhelmed with the camera in front of her and is super conscious.. the rest are shaky..

Sagadevan’s cinematography is the saving grace. Sabesh Murali’s background score is decent. Songs by Raghunandan are above average. Dialogues are juvenile. Editing is a pain and direction pitiable.

MEENDUM ORU MARIYADHAI is a film that strictly won’t warrant even television viewing..
