PEI MAMA – MOVIE REVIEW

Bakiya Cinemass produces this film that is written and directed by Sakthi Chidambaram. The makers got criticized for blatantly lifting and using the poster of bollywood movie Bhoot for their release.

Kollywood’s craze for horror comedies is unrelenting. The ridiculous template already set, even the frames these days are absurdly similar. Cringeworthy one-liners, pathetic spoofs and a dud crowd make the loud screenplay an annoying watch.

Yogi Babu keeps his mojo. Motte Rajendran sticks to his antics. M.S. Bhaskar, Malvika Menon, Ramesh khanna all scream their lungs out.

Pannerselvam’s cinematography is uninspiring. Music by Raj Aryan is blaring. Editing by Preetham is a mess. Dialogues are okay and direction is unimaginative.

PEI MAMA is unapologetically deadpan and strictly for ones who enjoy slapstick comedies of the highest order..

PEI MAMA – PAAKANUMA? !
