LOVE TODAY is a romcom written and directed by Pradeep Ranganathan, who happens play the lead role and has written the lyrics as well. His previous directorial venture COMALI was a hit.
LOVE TODAY has a contemporary and rather contentious. The first half is all smiles, while the second half takes on a few issues that affect relationships and society at large. Messages are subtle and the parallel track of Yogi Babu manages to impress. Predictability and some indulgences can be ignored.
Pradeep has cast himself and he is fun. Ivana is okay too. Yogi Babu is a pleasant surprise. Satyaraj looks good and Radhika is neat. Akshaya is okay.
Dinesh Puroshothaman’s cinematography is fine. Yuvan’s background score and songs are typically his. Dialogues are very good and direction admirable.
LOVE TODAY is an enjoyable joyride..
