RUN BABY RUN – TAMIL MOVIE

Run Baby Run is action thriller film written and directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar.The film is produced by S. Lakshman Kumar. RJ Balaji who is known for his roles laced with comedy is seen in a different avatar in this film.

RBR makes the right noises as it begins but in a few scenes you start wondering the logic behind the scenes and those questions never seem to stop till the film ends. At many places the script feels contrived and this the suspense element in the film peters down. The first half like most thrillers is spent on establishing the crime and the suspense left hanging while in the second half the film tries to reason the viewer’s questioning but is mostly left with unconvincing explanations.

RJ Balaji has a single expression character to play and he does that decently. Aishwarya Rajesh has very little to do in the film. Raj Ayyappa and Smruti Venkat are OK.

Cinematography by Yuva is fine. Sam C.S’s background score saves the film to a large extent. Dialogues are OK while direction is adequate.

RUN BABY RUN is a wait for OTT film !!
