The Stone Quarry produces this film that is written by Zack Snyder, Shay Hatten and Joby Harold. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

The plot of the film is what you have seen in a thousand Hollywood films, the only difference here being its setting in an “undead” script. In a free fall recitation the screenplay plays one note throughout with the usual emotional clichés and team routines peppered with some bombastic action sequences helped by impressive CG. The characters are just dumped on the viewer and the sorry length of the film that scarcely moves out of its comfort zone is a huge setback. Even the humour barely works.

Bautista lends charm to his character. Ella Purrell holds her own. Omari Hardwick has little to do. Samantha Win wins it. So is the case with the rest. Huma Qureshi appears in a blink and miss role.

Zack Snyder’s cinematography is fantastic helped by some wonderful assist from the VFX team. The idiosyncratic background score that is ZS’s marque is another boost. Dialogues are decent. Doddy Durn perhaps slept through the edits, while the director in Zack Snyder lacked substance.
