VVS must have been sold on the one liner that most makers sell to the actors and yes VVS has a solid one line that sounds interesting on paper though not very ingenious. The plot isn’t just enough and VVS falls apart due to its shoddy execution and lame presentation. Sub plots mar the proceedings especially the one that TFI keeps parading, fight against corporate. Comedy is average while the romance looks forced and totally unnecessary. A decent interval block peps up the proceedings but unfortunately falls short because of its predictability and is unduly very long at 166 minutes.
Vishal is his usual self in his comfort zone. Dimple Hayathi has nothing to do and does nothing great. Yogi Babu doesn’t surprise and the rest of the actors are below average.
Kavin Raj’s cinematography is good. Yuvan’s background score is average while the songs are a good miss. Editor Srikanth must have slept through parts. Dialogues are standard and direction is under par.
VEERAME VAAGAI SOODUM could have been a good commercial entertainer like Vishal’s earlier hits but ends up being a damp squib.
VEERAME VAAGAI SOODUM – VEEKAM !!
